Skip-A-Long CDS understands the needs and requirements of family home child care providers; the requirements of the children, parents, employers and the government; the demands to maintain an environment parents have confidence in and children thrive in. That is why in 1998 the Home Child Care Network (HCCN) was established.

HCCN provides children with a home atmosphere, small group settings and "hands on" personal attention. It also offers the ability to care for "special needs" children in a nurturing environment.

For parents, HCCN provides quality programming, flexible hours (second, third shift and weekend care), age-appropriate play-based activities and assurance of Skip-A-Long Child Development Services excellence in child care.

HCCN provides meticulous screenings of our provider homes. This includes Child Abuse and Neglect Tracking System (CANTS), background checks, fingerprinting, physical exam and community references required for all providers, both licensed and exempt. Information on availability of child care subsidies (sliding fee scale for parents based on family size/income) is available through our HCCN coordinator.

If you are interested in becoming an HCCN provider click here for more information on how HCCN can work with you to provide a quality program.
